Default Trip Schedule & Monthly Hours

What is the usual trip schedule like? How many days? How many legs each day?

Also, how much flight time each month could a new FO expect?

Lately there has been no schedule. It's been trip by trip. In other words we can't plan anything around it. On the plus side, they just got a 2nd scheduler online to help there. We will see. You can expect to work 5-12 average days at a time (including your company paid commute to/from work) with possibly 6-7 legs/day sometimes. I'd say 5-7 days off between trips. You would probably fly 50 hours per month average. I hope it gets better with the schedules being built further out. Hope this helps!

It's all over the place. My schedule for May is 8on/8off-ish... But I pack for longer because I get extended a day or two every once in a while

I'm not sure what things are like over there but it sure does seem like the planes break a aweful lot. I personally have recovered probably 10 of their Borgota flights.

Not gonna lie, planes break. Problem is that our spare aircraft that would cover the flying are tied up in proving runs for 121 certification. So when one does break with no MEL and part on order, we are calling Ultimate to cover. But this will be remedied soon with 121 certification and more staffing.

Not to mention our MX has to fix the mess that TSA made with these jets.

Update for those interested. Yesterday, the company completed its final proving run flight with no findings. We have been approved for a 121 certificate. They said to expect a week of paperwork and the ticket will be in hand by June 1.

Without getting into the details of the contracts, I can say flying has slowed to a trickle for the summer as of now.

That being said, no furloughs are anticipated at this time, and I believe they are planning on having an August class.

On the positive, we have received our 121 certificate, and our 145's will spend most of the summer getting the full compliment of 50 seats installed, and going through 121 conformity.

Flying should pick up towards the end of summer.
