Default Aviate

I won’t be able to make the Q&A call, but if someone could get answers to these questions that would be great...

1. Will DECs be required to complete the 1500 or 2000 hours?

2. Will applicants be notified if they do not pass the initial screening or board review?

3. How soon after applying will an applicant complete the initial screening, on-site interview and board review?

4. Will an applicant be notified directly of status updates regarding their Aviate application throughout the different stages of the process (ie receipt of application, initial screening, board review)?

Same cpp program but NOW with the technical portion. Still a pos recruitment deal, and NOTHING special about it and working at c5!!! It’s a discipline tool for the companies without any measure of benefit for the pilots. I thought this was going to be a better deal but it’s just a turd with a different color with a candle on top!!

"In order to transition to United at the completion of your minimum service requirements, you must hold a bachelor’s degree"

That’s if you are time building. Not already hired by an Express carrier.

Both paths require 2000 hours and 24 months at a United Express Aviate carrier. So the degree requirements are more strict if you get in earlier? It doesn't make sense.

Why does it not make sense? If you are already flying for one of the 4 express carriers outlined in the program, why should it be more strict? It clearly states when you click the apply button on the express page, that a degree is preferred but not required.

I didn't say anything "should" or shouldn't be more strict. I am saying the inconsistency between the two doesn't make sense.

Path 1 - Work for an Aviate-approved Part 135 or Flight School. Apply and be accepted to Aviate. Then work for an Aviate-approved Express carrier for 24 mos/2000 hours. Transition to United if you have a degree.

Path 2 - Work for an Aviate-approved Express carrier for 24 mos/2000 hours. Apply and be accepted to Aviate. Transition to United, no degree required.

Why?

I don't have a horse in the race, as I have a degree already, I just think it's weird that your reward for jumping through extra hoops for Path 1 is...an extra hoop.

Where does it say no degree required for path 2? I can't find it.

When your file goes before the review board, wouldn’t you rather have it than not? That how I felt, and finished it up very quickly via online options. It’s worth it.
