The 175 does great on short fields. How about just doing more 70 seat 175’s... (scope would beed to change. Maybe if management gives the big boys more widebodys, and less “joint ventures”.)

Our JV scope is already tight. How about try the buy a SNB, more mainline jobs, less out sourcing and a few more RJ’s. There’s too many pilots at UA that suffered career progression with the proliferation of RJ’s. They were furloughed while the regionals grew.

Then there’s group that spent 10+ yrs flying RJ’s for crap wages/work rules.

Small Narrowbody. Like Delta brought the 717 in and was able to add extra 76 seat jets.

The 717 was a DC9 replacement. It wasn't fleet expansion so no extra RJs.

No but for UA to unlock more large RJ’s they need to add a new SNB type (A220/E195)

Not true. Delta 2012 contract allowed expansion of the large RJ fleet while highly limiting the amount of 50 seat RJs.

This is the correct answer. Pinnacle started getting their newer RJs as a result.
