I will be. I've had to push it back a couple times but I'm finally done timebuilding

I don't think they will run new hire jet classes until May.

I was told the classes are a mix and you bid in indoc based on seniority. I'm guessing based on age. The answer has been pretty vague though.

I'm confused on upgrade times... On this thread people are saying qualified pilots are being awarded captain out IOE, but according to the CommutAir recruiters it's still 18 months and currently dropping.

Anyone care to chime in? Are people on the thread just being facetious and/or trolling?

Affording $36/hr vs $54/hr is a big difference.

What is it you don't understand? If someone junior to me qualifies to upgrade when I don't, then they naturally upgrade before me. They won't stop upgrades just because my number is up, but I don't have my 1000hrs of 121 time.

What I don't understand is that the recruiters are saying it's 18 months with previous 121 time. They are saying people are NOT upgrading out of IOE.

Spoke to a recruiter and was told currently they are all Dash. At some point they will transition it to a mix (ratio TBD) and students will then bid based on seniority in the class (based on age). New hires who get trained on the Dash will most likely stay on the Dash until the Dash's start disappearing vice being retrained on the jet.

She said they hope to start mixed classes "soon" but whether that is April, May, June or July she could not say.

There are quite a few of us about to break through the 1000 hr glass ceiling, so the projected new hire upgrade times won't likely be lightning fast (just pretty fast). The upgrade directly out of IOE was an isolated case.

Thanks. That sounds more in line with what I thought and expected.
