Yes. All 19 for the dash. All new hires next month will also be for the dash and most likely all new hires in March as well.

If you are holding off on going to C5 simply because you're waiting on the jet... you're making poor choice. Especially concerning the CPP. My gut tells me it'll be at least 3 months before they offer the 145 to new hires. There are plenty of FOs on property who want and will get the jet before they offer it to new hires. 3 months = 60 people ahead of you that will go to United before you. That's potentially a year, if not more that you'll be pushed back from getting on with UAL. Making the choice to be set back that much in your career over an airplane is just dumb.

Besides you'll have more fun on the Dash, probably better crews and you actually might have to be a pilot and not a button pusher.

So what's the seat lock time on a Dash if any?

1 year. However, once you're eligible for upgrade you may switch to the 145.

The seat lock is for 18 months according to the new contract. 12 months was under the previous one.

Shameless recruiter maybe? Opportunistic line pilot looking to score referrel bonuses off people? Who knows.
I was super tired when I wrote 24 and yeah, apparently I can't add. Is 19 plus an FAA guy observing. 6XJT, 1 envoy, 1 air whiskey, 2 skywest, 1 silver, 1 military, 1 seabourne, 5 CFI and 1 engineer career changer. I am an XJT guy and if I am lucky I will be a shameless recruiter some day. Cuz I like the company!

Thanks for the intel, seems Commutair may satisfy a lot of my lifestyle "requirements"... Few other things which would also help me in my decision making process:

Are most of your trips are "home every night/every other night" type stuff or do you have "long" (4-5 day) trips as well?

Can someone confirm that there is no seat lock for upgrades?

Will you be flying anywhere beyond the current route structure? (not really a decision driver just curious)

Most of the trips are 2,3&4 day trips with some 1 day trips and a few 5 days trips.
Typically, my schedule will comprise of a 2 day back-to-back with a 3 day trip or two back-to-back 3 day trips, followed by 3-5 days off. As with everything, the better seniority you hold the sweeter the schedule gets. Of course, some months the scheduling magic goes awry and leaves much to be desired.

Once you upgrade you will be seat locked into whatever you upgraded in for up to 24 months.

The assumption is that the route structure will change for the jet side of the operation.
