Are you talking about Dash CA? No way jet CA will take a year to get off reserve.

I like to think conservatively. Dash CA's will be coming off seat lock soon, so that might throw a wrench in the process with the Dash being scheduled to leave. They will jump above the junior captains on the jet and equilibrium will be achieved.

Regardless of how it all works out, the key point is anyone hired in the next few months will be captain at the latest by 2018. Some might sit no reserve, some might sit a year. It is all apart of building character.

I thought the 200's were leased till 2018?

When the deck is done being shuffled, what do you think the chance is of someone hired within the next month getting displaced to EWR on the jet eventually?

Commuting to reserve in EWR, i wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy...but I'm a west coast guy so maybe thats the problem.

I disagree. If you look at the standing bids, there are some guys bidding over, but not many. Plenty of folks are happy to stay on the Dash, and not glazed over by SJS.

Remember though there is a 30% limit for D8 CA to ERJ CA.
They won't be releasing seat locks unless they can't fill seats with FO's

Junior ERJ captain is now August new hire
