To my knowledge there are no CQFOs on the ERJ side of the operation. We never received any right seat training, therefore we're not even legal to fly in that seat.

Thats good to know. About to upgrade in Oct and hoped they didn't. Didnt want to be CQFO starting out. Or junior manning. Hows the schedules on Jet CA? Lots of reserve? Or no reserve. Heard theyre like negative every month.

That's my understanding as well. The only people dual qualified are the cadre guys. However, if you are a jet FO upgrading, would they still be able to technically fly you in the right seat since you do have currency in both seats? Not sure the contract addresses this. Only thing I can see is the talk about the bottom 5%.

I'm about 4 months away from ATP mins, whats the realistic upgrade time from FO to CA? Are bases still only IAD and EWR? thanks.

in 4 months, with 0 121SIC, you'll be looking at 2-3 years.

Per the contract they can make you CQF. Bottom 10% during the 'transition period' then back to 5% after. The transition period is for another year I believe. It's an LOA on the contract. Schedules on the jet are not great but there is a good chance by the time you finish training they will be better.

Looks like your coming from the -8. They aren't doing CQF for those of us upgrading from the Dash. The guys that are upgrading from the Jet will likely be CQF. (i believe its due to the reduced pairing requirements, they would have to give us 25 hours IOE in the right seat also)
bottom 10% is correct, its in a LOA at the beginning of the contract.

What are the requirements to upgrade? I have a lot of 135 jet time, some of that is PIC. I also have about 500 SIC Part 121. Thanks for the responses!
