I disagree, $74000 is accurate. You just have to include commuter rooms, insurance, 401k match, travel benefits, stroopwafels, complimentary crew room furniture, and 150% pay from involuntary extensions.

I see if you did come here with no 121 or 135 time, then yes you would upgrade when you hit it. But that does not line up with the 74k thing. So I guess it just depends on your POV. Btw what happened to the September upgrade list that closed on the 23rd of July? I can't find any information on it any where.

Well, I am still here. i have hope that the union and company will come together and fix these issues.

Their pay breakdown is here. Sadly, per diem is included in there too. This breakdown is with 1st year FO pay only and despite the ridiculous things included as "compensation", the numbers seem fairly realistic.

See 26.L.4 regarding vacancy awards. This information is only required to be provided to the MEC Chairman if requested and on a "periodic basis", whatever that means. So the union is the official place for us to seek this information. The company was never required to share the vacancy awards with us on the message board as they had been doing. It was a courtesy. Hopefully all the impatient comments on there lately haven't prompted them to retract that courtesy.

C'mon, I think the writing is on the wall that no new upgrades are happening and the focus now is on transitioning dash pilots over to the erj. What this means for someone hired from 10/16-1/17 is they will be waiting a much longer time for upgrade compared to what was advertised by everyone at CommutAir.

I don't see what this has to do with my post. Especially since the September upgrade class is happening. People were called and have class dates on their schedules, it's just no awards were posted publicly.

I wonder how many D8 FOs are holding out to bid ERJ captain. Most of the D8 FO list started last year, and I would think some would be coming up on 1000 hrs pretty soon.

As a D8 FO in that situation I'm faced with a tough decision as I will most likely fall short of 1000 hours before they are parked...

It would seem like an obvious choice to go to another airline, collect a hefty bonus, upgrade relatively quickly and have a much better QOL. Why wouldn't I do that faced with the possibility of sitting for months on min guarantee, food stamps, and god knows what on the other side of that training?

Why? The seniority!

I'm one of many FOs I know in the same spot facing the same decision. A lateral move to another regional, WTF!

I wish this company would pull its head out of its ass...
