How does that work? Unless of course he screwed up his bids.

There is a lot of valid complaints about this company, but violating seniority is not one that the Union has allowed the company to get away with.

Idk if the CA screwed it up or not but even so the contract still says if the bid is not sufficient then the company can place him....but still based on seniority.

Out of curiosity: How senior was the CA downgrade?

Yes but if he didn’t bid sufficient choices he can be placed as needed.
If he only bid D8 captain then he absolutely has to be displaced to FO.
I looked through the list and don’t see anyone who fits that though.
Unless he took IAD FO over EWR CA

So at the end of that paragraph in the CBA it still said according to seniority. If his seniority can hold wat he wants then why couldn't he still have it?

I understand where u say if he doesn't bid sufficiently. But still it says seniority, wats ur thoughts on that?

Oh and u wont see who fits that criteria in the list cuz he changed it to sufficient bids.

His/Her own damn fault if they didn't bid sufficient spots. Jeeze, it's like the Union only sent out a billion ****ing emails/FB posts on that and it was the talk of the crew room for ~2 months...

What do you mean "still according to seniority"? They got exactly what they bid, whatever's left over.

I agree, ALPA did relentlessly remind the pilots to bid sufficient bids. Hence wen he told me I was wondering if he didnt get or checked all the emails. But what I want to understand is even though the person did not, the CBA says "according to seniority"...WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Relax. Flipping out dont answer my question.
