It seems like a glamorous job from the outside looking in. Most regionals have lines out the door at their FA recruiting events. Some love the job, others hate it and bounce ASAP. The problem is those lines out the door at recruiting events and relatively short training cycles leaves them little to no leverage.

Who is getting thrown under the bus? Maybe I'm reading you wrong, but you seem to be taking offense here. I didn't drop a name over the Internet, I didn't even go to ProStands this time. As far as professional anything, that CA should know better than to fly that damn sick, flying through course with another jet at our 12, not having the situational awareness to slow and configure and being way off from stable at 1000 feet. I'm still a low-time pilot but I was well ahead of the veteran captain on these. We certainly did debrief on the two different approaches, it wasn't until after the trip I really got to thinking about him being that sick and the effects of it - which is why I haven't gone to prostands. I have nothing against him in any way, had flown with him before, but if you're sick call out! For safety reasons and the crew flying with you doesn't want to get sick either because of you. Applies to everyone, myself included.

I think it was when you said something about calling CS or going straight to the CP vs. going to prostands. I think that’s what he was referring to about making a name for yourself. You dong want to be the next guy ending up on the yoke clip like certain individual whose name started with an I and ended with a C.

Well I think we just came up with our first question for next months all employee call. Is it really any surprise that this would happen only a couple of days after our last employee call (like they think we will forget by the time the next one comes around).

Actually if we start mass emailing people, they will eventually respond ala 401k situation last week. The the Zed thing is concerning to say the least. There is absolutely no reason why Compass can’t used zed. Personally I think it’s a glitch of some sort. Is it the same on the desktop site? I haven’t updated my benefits yet so I don’t know.

I remember digging through DLnet a few weeks ago and reading that DC carriers don’t get ZED or interline travel. At the time, thought it was weird, because we do.
Maybe we’re losing that too. It’s a shame Widget treats us the way they do. just one more way to make sure our QOL and benefits are nothing next to theirs. I was about to go on a vacation using ZED too
