Yeah I’m honestly worried. They went from “extremely confident, imminent announcement coming soon” to “we are still working out some details but we are optimistic”

Well now, the partner they are negotiating with knows our ship is sinking and probably wants a much lower price as they know we have no ground to stand on when negotiating. That, and now the cat is out of the bag and there are probably other vultures competing for the same contract.

There is a very real, very high chance that we will get the “despite our best efforts” memo in the next 30 days..

I already called it. But I think we'll get one more "please be patient" memo first.

None of this was exactly classified info. I imagine it happens with every contract. Since all TSH really has to “sell” is the existing personnel and the ability to recruit, train, and manage (more or less) future personnel, it will either pencil out economically for Compass or not. If it doesn’t, I think it’s a death spiral for Compass. If they can’t compete with the economies of scale of a 56 aircraft fleet, they won’t be able to compete with a 20 aircraft fleet.

For that reason (and that reason alone) I believe TSH is giving it their best shot. Whether that will be successful or not remains to be seen.

In the interim, putting out apps is the prudent course of action.

For all of those that are interested to know what it's like working for a Trans States Holdings carrier: IOCC trip trading/open time (crap product, basically given to us for free) hasn't been working all day long. Go to intranet, click link for Trans States IT Help Desk, BROKEN LINK

Default Stolen Laptop - Data Breach

Has anyone else heard of the Data Breach where a Compass laptop was stolen from the baggage claim area at the Seattle Airport on July 19, 2019?

The laptop had employee data on it including fingerprints, name, alias, address, birth date, birthplace, country of citizenship, SSN, non-US passport number, gender, race, eye color, hair color, height and weight.

"PM me with your SSN. I'll send you instructions for how to wire money to a Nigerian prince, who will make sure that your data remains safe."

I guess I am the only one who received a letter in the mail from TSH with 2 years of LifeLock protection. If that is the case, this is a heads up for everyone else.
