And if it's true that around 30 of the Delta planes are going to Republic wouldn't they have to open a west or Midwest base?? There's no way they have enough ADDITIONAL flying in Boston for 30 planes. So if by some turn of this crazy regional reshuffle Envoy and Republic had an LA base who would you go for? I'd go for Envoy but not for the flow... Just the Dr Pepper.

Didn’t Republic already announce their new base??

SkyWest has quite a bit of flying right now in BOS and LGA for Delta. They will move that flying west to LAX/SEA/SLC and Republic will fill in on the east coast.

And this is why, IF the 20 planes being flown by Compass come back to ENY, there won’t necessarily be a LAX base come with it.

ENY can’t staff the planes they have now, let alone 20 more from us

That’s the whole issue of moving any flying from one regional to another right now. No one has any excess capacity right now. Republic, Skywest and Endeavor don’t have any extra capacity either. It is going to take time for any of them to take over any new flying.

Which is why we need to remember how valuable we are.... Timing is probably a big factor but it seems that if a pilot is moving laterally to another regional they are in a position to ask a lot of questions in the interview. They need us badly. Don't forget your value.

So AA sale confirmed? Compass staffs LAX as a 4th AA WO and that’s how Envoy “gets” LAX.

So uh... Is Moxy back on the table?

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-09-12/neeleman-mulls-used-embraer-jets-for-new-u-s-airline-next-year

We are all typed, and the last line "has said the carrier likely will be based near a technology center other than Silicon Valley" has a SEA based guy wondering about the Amazon/Microsoft/TMobile trinity as a tech center. Also, last trip through the school house had me hearing "don't be so sure" more than once when I joked about about being an ex-SEA guy.
