If there's anything good to announce it all depends on how much lead time they give. But will they be able to attract new captains like they will FOs?

What is hypocritical about thinking that new hires at a major - even a ULCC - ought to be paid more than new hires at a regional?
Do you understand what the word hypocrisy means?
Yes, yes, I understand that IN THE LONG RUN you’ll come out better economically. But do you really think it is appropriate for first year FOs flying for UPS to only make $48 an hour? Or FOs flying for Hawaiian to make only $36 an hour their first year. The partial quotes you screen captured are me opining that it would be better for pilot solidarity if newbies were treated better by the pilot group in negotiations. Can you explain why holding that opinion makes me a hypocrite?
Honest question.

Late reply... but my class had 4 mil, 2 prior instructors. They were picked up and received calls from AS, DL and UPS as soon as they checked the 121 box and type rating. It’s a magical box for military but the Instructor school (my opinion) seems to have a huge factor. If they weren’t a fighter guy, mil guys seem to need over 2k to get the call. Of course there’s always the outsider...
