What is your cutoff date? I mean at what date, given no good news from company, are you “out of here”?
Already have lateral offers for near DEC and DEC jobs. But I’m living in base right now. As long as I’m advancing my career here, able to upgrade here, and accumulating hours at a decent rate, I’m perfectly happy to stay until the Merry-go-round stops. Every hour of 121 PIC I can get here decreases the time I will have to spend commuting to a DEC job where I will probably need a crash pad and be accumulating 121 PIC slowly on reserve.

If upgrades stop before I upgrade, I’m probably out of here. If one of my LCC apps gets me a CJO, I’m probably out of here even if the place does get more flying, unless the opportunity at Compasd is pretty outstanding.

If one of my long shot apps to one of my top choices turns in to a CJO it’s hasta la vista, baby.

I’m in the boat with Excargodog. I’m interviewing and accepting offers, but I’m delaying my class dates; gambling that my base stays open through November.

If SEA closes, and new planes aren’t arriving or silly-imminent, I’m out. Then again, if the right bigger, badder airline calls between now and then, I’m probably out anyway.

I think I'll just hang tight.. I have no reason to run for the door. I'm sitting decently senior in lax and getting a good line.. Won't last long if we don't get flying, but it will last a few months. Maybe that's enough time for the legacies to give me a pre-furlough chance to interview. In some sick twisted way, checking the furlough box might be the boost I need to get an interview at some top tier places. I have the time, I just need a chance.

I think they'll have to start furloughing by November if they don't have new flying secured, so I think we'll all find out whats gonna happen by then either way. I guess I'm willing to wait till the end.. Came here with nothing, and I'll leave north of 1500tpic among other things. I got what I came for, no regrets. Even if I have to make a lateral move, I don't think I'll be anywhere for long. So for today, I like my short drive to work and productive trips.

Same. Checking that furlough box is pretty powerful.

I'm a recently new hire with around 200 hrs here. Sept will be telling for me, I'm still on reserve and don't see flying more than 15-20 hours just looking at the grid. I have interviewed for other regionals but my class dates aren't for a few months out anyway. Obviously won't be leaving at the earliest until those class dates are upon us, hopefully we'll have great news by then!

Kind of in the same boat as the others. LAX based, driving to work, logging 90+/month. I’ll stick it out until the upgrades stop. I came for the quick TPIC in my home base and if that’s still going to be an option then I’ll be here.

I’m about 3 months out from upgrade at this point so we should know exactly what’s going on by then.

I’m interviewing with LCCs at the moment and as soon as I get a class date I’m out. If not, it will take either my base closing or a furlough before I make a lateral to a legacy regional.

Regional Airline Association convention is in Nashville this week. RL is having a “fireside chat” tomorrow evening and giving a presentation. Every regional’s leader is there and United’s VP of domestic network planning is there as well. I would have to assume that news and decisions, either good or bad, will be completed this week with news to follow.

...maybe
