Ninerdriver is right, compass has the 2500 rule, it's not the FAA. And Fpmx772, I'm right there with ya. I upgraded right before the freeze and got a nice year and half+ on reserve. Got a line during the crib pay summer of 2018 and was still on min days off still for a good bit. But... It was worth it and i'de do it again.

Hope these guys can get the upgrade sooner. Word to the wise, the upgrade training will not prepare you for what you will see as a captain on the line, it's just some sim events. Don't waste your time as an FO, learn the ropes, participate in the delays and return to gates etc.. Learn how to work with your FAs, DX, and MXC before you leave for training. If you can do that in 2000+ hrs rather than 2500+ then good for you.

Hmmm. Not sure. See Table 3.

Yeah, but it says that’s in addition to 1500 hours. But you are right, it may have been superseded.

It's 1500 TT and 1000 SIC, but the two don't exclude each other.

1500 TT is required for an unrestricted ATP. FOs need at least 750 TT to hold an R-ATP, so the 1500 TT requirement doesn't really limit much anymore on the 121 side anymore.

The CBA mins (2500TT or 2000TT with 1500 ME) for upgrade will never be waived. Trust me, I tried, and emailed, back when we had to hire street captains. I emailed the union, chiefs, and crew planning with this idea and got two “no” and an “absolutely not” last fall

Outsider question, did your union agree to the F9 flow and did they sign the agreement? If not then cpz and f9 cannot restrict hiring cpz pilots outside of flow, its violation of federal law.

Really? I don't think our union agreed, but I don't know. Anyone?

Would love to read the fine print on this. IMHO it’s an obstacle to our career progression. I certainly would have voted no. Now all of us have no shot at moving on to F9 outside of a tiny and distant flow window. With their new pay rates, you would have seen normal attrition of 2-5 a month to them without the flow...... not 24 a year with the flow

If an agreement like this was signed with DL, compass pilots would be ramming down the doors of building C with pitchforks and torches. Why should F9 be different?

I know of someone going to F9 soon from CPZ. But it'll be before June. Not sure if that matters.
