Oh... I can't remember where I read that. Or maybe my friend at express jet told me that, but he probably doesn't know for real. AND he's flying for United now so I can't really back up the 80% number. Maybe that was counting some exec's personal holdings as others have said.

For those thinking about leaving, I hear AirWis has a GIANT CRJ200. Legend says it takes 6 pilots just to pull the yoke back on rotation

"At eight and a half inches tall, I thought that I'd never have the ability to fulfill my dream of being a pilot. Air Wisconsin helped me realize that dream. At Air Wisconsin, I wasn't a short person, I was a person who just happened to be short."

The overstaffing will be extremely tough for awhile. If *if* If a new base is announced across the country...and you are willing to commute / change base. That is the only option I see to avoid months of stagnation, and 20-25 hour block months on reserve, at the current bases.

I am very curious the percentage of guys and gals that would stay if the new base is a 3+ hour flight commute away from LA. I think that an announcement like that would probably send many LA people for other airlines.

Maybe or maybe not. LA has a lot of commuters.
