Yep. Unless Compass is planning on 737 flying for Amazon ala Mesa, there is no new 175 flying. United just signed with Mesa, AA with OO, DL doesn’t want us anymore. It’s just not happening.

Anyone know how many pilots are left on the seniority list?

The fine print does say SkyWest is going to finance these. Is AAG going to sell the 20 aircraft to SKW? Not very likely.

Either way, do feel for you guys.

Seriously, those planes are PIECES OF JUNK!!!

Even after going through a 3rd party vendor in OKC before heading to Republic, the first plane I flew had 13 pages full of write ups that were corrected by our own maintenance prior to hitting the line. And some of that stuff was eyebrow raising as to how they were even being flown.

They slowly are getting better though.

it is annoying to hear your guys did not get the AA flying. Would rather have seen you guys get it over Skywest.

That's how OO does a lot of business, if you're comfortable (and trust them enough) to sign a long-term contract, they'll buy the planes.

I just find the 20 AA 175s highly suspicious. Isn’t AA scoped out? Also the delivery time frame. They said deliveries later this year. Embraer can crank them out that quick? Is it possible OO is buying our 175s from AA to mitigate their costs?

Conspiracy theories aside, it’s unfortunate we have to be so suspicious due to the silence from management. I don’t have a dog in the fight but still have lots of friends at CPZ. I do want it to turn out alright. Don’t get me wrong though, every current CPZ pilot should have apps out and some sort of plan B.

Worst case scenario- CP loses our 20 to Envoy and Skywest takes over the box with the new 20.

Given the nearly 6 months with zero information and other regionals taking flying, anyone know if the union is going to try and offer any more assistance to those hung out to dry?

Aside from preferential hiring at other ALPA carriers, job workshops, and continuing to press management - what can they do? They don’t control what flying CP bids on or operates. They really are in the same boat as the line pilots.
