As I said above, it is not a case of TSA, Compass, or Gojet blocking you as it is Frontier refuses to hire you. If you apply to Frontier outside the flow Frontier will send you a letter stating that because you are an employee of a TSH airline, they will not hire you outside the flow agreement. You will get no communication from TSH blocking you from applying or getting hired.

Could be but those are the UX tails that have been flying for Expressjet.

I wonder if this was the plan all along by TSH knowing we’d jump ship to wherever possible so at leas they could try to put a bandaid on the bleeding artery. Weird that a union airline can stop a union pilot from flying for that airline outside of a non-union agreement.

It is an interpretation of the agreement by F9 legal and HR. ALPA has nothing to do with it, unfortunately. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the language was inserted by TSH legal to limit attrition to F9 in Denver.

Unfortunately it is what it is. Until F9s legal department changes its interpretation the only way to apply outside the agreement is to quit and apply from somewhere else. Several TSA guys had interviews scheduled and applications on file when the agreement was announced, and all got the same form letter from F9 telling them they cannot be hired outside the flow.

I just hope they pull the bandaid off quick, so everyone can get on with the next step. No point in torturing the pilot group, even though management is trying to stop the “bleeding”.

Meh, go to the interview. They may be able to interview you soon, but I’d imagine class dates are a bit farther out. At my shop we are running classes out to October, I believe.

My advice would also be to go and interview.

Can't say no if you don't interview, but if you do, you've got the ability to say yes if they offer.

Idk last thing I'd want to have happen is the day bad news is announced, I'm starting to fill out applications along with everyone else.

New hires really need to be working on applications because they will be the first to hit the street in the event of a furlough. Unfortunately because Holdings didn't see the wisdom in consolidating certificates long ago (like everybody else) there is no way to move excess pilots from Compass to other TSH companies. They essentially have to start over just like going to Republic or any other regional.

Hopefully they have a better deal for you guys, and maybe for all of us at TSH coming soon, but if I were junior at Compass I'd be getting my resumes out soon just in case.
