I believe they can only flow through a certain percentage per year maybe 10-20%? That would leave plenty of room for the rest of us non wholly owned scumbags
Is mesaba the same way?

I think it is something like 20 a month up to 25% of the pilots on the seniority list.

Right. The first 20 slots per month are reserved for eligible Compass pilots. To be eligible you must be a Captain and have at least 30 months of employment after the first person in you new-hire class passes their check ride (Effective Date of Employment, we also get longevity pay increases on this date, it's stupid). Only 25% of the seniority list can flow up in a rolling 12 month period.

Clear as mud, right?

It actually goes off date of hire. If you are earning sick and vacation time, you are accruing time for the flow through. If you take a leave of absense or otherwise find yourself off the payroll for more than 5 days in a month, you don't accrue time for the flow through, sick, or vacation time.

3. Compass Airlines pilots will be offered employment at Northwest Airlines before any other Northwest Airlines Affiliate Carrier or new hires from the street directly to Northwest Airlines.
a. Offers to flow up will be in seniority order, provided that, in order to be eligible to flow up a pilot, must:
(1) Be a captain, and
(2) Have at least thirty (30) months on payroll at Compass Airlines (see Sections 7 A. and 14 A.1.c. for definition of "on payroll"; for purposes of this paragraph 22 D.3., a pilot shall be deemed to be on payroll while on military leave).
b. The maximum number of Compass pilots flowing up to Northwest shall be:
(1) twenty-five percent (25%) of the total pilot group over a rolling twelve (12) month period, and
(2) no more than twenty (20) pilots per month.

Section 7A referenced above deals with vacation accrual; section 14 A.1.c deals woth sick time accrual. There is no reference to EDAP or EDAA in the flow through agreement.

Section 7

Vacation

A. Accrual
  • Not applicable
  • A pilot shall accrue vacation as set forth in the table below for each full month a pilot is on payroll, and as otherwise provided for in this Agreement.
*** Based on a pilot’s full year on payroll. A month is not considered a “full” month and vacation does not accrue for a month if a pilot is off payroll for more than (five) 5 days of that month, except as provided for in this Agreement.
  • A pilot hired on or before the fifteenth (15th) of the month will accrue vacation from the first (1st) of the month, and a pilot hired after the fifteenth (15th) of the month will begin accruing vacation from the first (1st) of the following month.

Section 14

Sick Leave

A. Accrual
1. A pilot will accrue sick leave credit at the rate of :
a. Not applicable
b. Not applicable
c. A pilot shall not accrue sick leave credit for any month the pilot is off payroll for more than five (5) days, except as provided in the Agreement.

No one walked my stuff in and I have an interview next week with 1700TT. From what I have been told the key to getting an interview is 121 time and atleast 1000MEL. According to their HR, there will only be a few more people hired with a class date and then people will start going into a pool. I was told that my interview next week should land me a class date if they want to hire me. Hope it helps.

Are you getting furloughed or just trying to get out of the CMR misery?

Hiring is very, very close to the end there.

What Red Forman posted is also correct.

any gouge on the HR interview questions? I've heard it is a lot of "tell me about a time" stuff

Air Inc has a 5 minute audio that you can listen to that's got about 25 of the written questions on it. It's old, though, because it also talks quite a bit about the sim, which I was told I would not have to do...
