Default Compass??

Any Compass pilots out there that can give me any insight? Basically I am waiting till I get 1499TT and applying to go there! Any comments on going regional to regional? Or just any comments about Compass anything? The interviews, training, the aircraft? Thanks

It's a lateral move. Unless you're getting a base that is near your home is it worth going back to year one pay? How long before you upgrade in the mighty SAAB? What is the current upgrade time at Compass? Do you really want to start over? In most cases, the arguement for a lateral move from one regional to another is usually not worth doing. There are exceptions. If you can definately hold a base where you will not have to commute you gain a huge quality of life bonus. You also must consider with the recent round of furloughs, do you really want to be on the bottom of ANY seniority list?
You may be better off staying where you are, upgrading much sooner, gaining turbine PIC time and throwing your paperwork at majors/legacy's when they start hiring again.

I knowWW but you don't understand man!!! I't the E-170, it's so shiny and from the pictures it looks a lot bigger and it's got 2! flight attendants and it's got auto thrustSHSJSJSJSJS. I don't care about seniority man, it's the next best thing to a 737!!!

With all the qualified pilots on the street you may need for than 1500 hours to get the call right now. I put my stuff in last week with a bit over 3k and I'm not expecting much as there are people out there with 8000+ hours looking for work.

Basically, we're done hiring for the time being. The result of an interview at this point would be to be put into a pool, to be put into class when some folks flow through, if it happens. Otherwise, we are pretty much holding at around 330 pilots (33 active A/C, 2 spares, and 1 always in the paint shop rotation - new DAL colors and all).

Trust me, the 175 is not even close to a 737!

Yes I understand, but never compare a 175 to a 737. It's just not right!
