Well I made it past the computerized testing part but was shot down after the HR interview. It was funny because I thought it went very well, but they don't give you a reason or anything so I can only guess about what they didn't like.
Four of us started out that day, two got the boot after the tests and I was first for HR so I dont know what happened to the other guy.
The whole experience was pretty good though. They positive space you to MSP and pay for the hotel, and the environment they create at HQ is very low-pressure. The cognitive test was actually kind of fun in my opinion. But I dont know how a person would prepare for the "job knowledge" test. I looked at the gouges for the DL interview and that helped with a couple questions. I think they mostly want to gauge how much you have been paying attention throughout your career .
It would have been nice to change things up by working there, but at the end of the day I still have a job so maybe someone that doesn't can take my place.

So I'm lookin for some info on Reserve life at Compass. Got an interview next week.
Can someone point out the bad parts of your contract in reference to Reserves? Do you have hot or airport ready reserves? How much are FOs flying on reserve.
As someone on reserve in summer 2010, I can provide some newer info, but what is posted above is very accurate anyway. RSV are treated pretty well. Surprisingly, you don't work very much at all. The most I credited was 50 hours one month. Another month, I flew 2 stand-ups. One the first week, one the last. Got pretty bored in the crashpad. I think RSV are flying more these days, the RSV grid shows less available than it used to. We had zero F/O's available one day last week.
Do you have a minimum day guarantee? 3:30, ready reserve is worth 4.
Are reserves breaking guarantee? As I said above, I never did, but I know some who have.
Also, I was told they are hiring for two classes, one starting Jan 28 and the other Feb 6.

Last day is an auto release at 1800, but I was able to get out early every time. One time as early as 1030, once at late as 1700 (I was one of two available that day so that hung on later than usual). As always, everyone's experience is a little different. Good luck!

Found out the hard way I dont have a digital brain. The "Divided attention test" was beyond my skill. Solving puzzles while keeping the ball centered didn't go very well. Short version is the cog test about gave me an anyeurism.

I would have to agree with you on the DAL requirement. As to the attraction, Compass doesn't seem to have a raging hard on for currency.
