I've only been online a week and a half and haven't flown since IOE...so I can't really make a comparison. So far so good.
So far seems like much happier place than Comair was, but then again that really isn't saying much.

Some things are better than most regionals: pay, equipment, PIC type rating, 401k, and reserve rules (are arguably better).
Some things are worse than most: crew room in MSP is a joke (no cable, couches, recliners, or reliable internet), training department needs improvement (and is getting it), and the holding company has a very bad history of treating pilots poorly (and is currently holding a lawsuit against our union in federal court).
It is what you make of it. I personally love it here. I love living in MSP, my wife loves it here, not much more I could ask for. There are some guys who will say the opposite however.

What are the chances of getting based in dtw? Are many crews based there? Anybody been getting hired with less than 2000tt/ 1000 turbine? Thanks!!

DTW is the junior base, with about 46 FOs.
Some have been hired with less than 600 turbine. Almost all are from other airlines.

I was called today for an interview the second week of march. 4000TT with a 135/corporate background. No 121 time, but almost all of the 4000 is PIC, and I have a citation type rating.

Im not sure I really want to go the regional route, but I just lost my corporate jet job out here in BFE, and there is not much else out here. I just bought a house, and am stuck with it for a while. It looks like compass has a quick upgrade, and is possible to commute. Does anyone know how long guys are sitting on reserve at compass now?
