Everyone here seems to have missed the fact that Compass has cancelled all interviews and wont be hiring or interviewing any time soon.

Sit tight everyone...

I don't know if that is true. I was in the training center yesterday and the "welcome pilot applicants" sign was up on the pan am desk. I think they are still building a pool. But I have no first hand information on that at all.

Hmm, well then perhaps I have been misinformed, thanks for clarifying!

Really I don't know. I think everything is up in the air right now. They are training a lot of new instructors. Tons more than would be needed under the current load. Pan am is even starting a local contract operation for the 170/190. Everything is hinting at positive movment around here. But if anyone knows anything concrete they aren't saying it.

but maybe thats the point. Nothing is for sure yet and there isn't anything to get your hopes up for.

thats exactly why i told all my furloughed buddies to go to CPZ. When the music starts CPZ will empty out fast! The attrition potential at CPZ is by far higher than any other regional.

I noticed they did have the application link back up on the jobs link on the company site. Did they ever take it down or is that knew?

They re-opened the application on Feb. 15th. It had been closed for about a month.

I guess it would be new but without my blackberry to correct it for me . Didn't major in English ya know.

Well the new bid came out today and it looks like they are pulling 15 more crews from MEM May 1st. All vacancies will be in MSP.
This will mean:
15 CA 15 FO MEM
42 CA 50 FO DTW
126 CA 137 FO MSP

Basically all displacements are going to MSP and the new hires were all placed in MSP as well.

sounded like MEM will close in June.
