Several - its a good city within a short drive to DTW. Probably a lot more fun than Romulus.

If you get stuck in DTW make sure you get a car there and rent a place in Ann Arbor, don't stay in in Romulus or Taylor, it will pay off in dividends.

I lived in Ann Arbor for two years with Compass... Crazy I've been gone for three years now, I miss that place! Go to Big10 Burritos and get your burrito with the Jalapeño sauce! And Ashley's is the place to go for a beer. Now it's time for me to take on LAX, I may be the only guy at Compass to take on all 4 bases! Big10 and Bells need to start distributing on the Best Coast ASAP!

I used to live in Inkster and work in Romulus.

DO. NOT. STAY. THERE.

Newbie Compass pilot here. Interview yesterday was a success. First airline interview. Seems like a great regional to be at. Interview process was very professional and everyone was friendly. Overall a great experience. It's my first 121 job, so hopefully I can keep up through training. Does anyone have any good advice on where to live and possibly public transportation during training? Not sure what base I'll be at, but hoping to be in LA since I live in Las Vegas. But I'd be happy with any of them.

Congratulations on getting an offer! See if you can hook up with other people in your class and split a hotel room for the days you need to be at the training center- some have shuttles to Pan Am for you. The training program is definitely geared for those with prior 121 as I'm sure you have heard. It's totally doable, but you'll be forced to study harder than others in your class unfortunately. If you have any questions feel free to PM me- I just hit the line and would be glad to help.

Thanks, I truly appreciate that. And yeah that's what I've heard. If you don't mind me asking, where are you based? I'm hoping to get LA shortly after training, but at the same time, cost of living there is crazy expensive.
