Is it going to be like eagles program where you have to buy all the stuff? Also do they reimburse you if it falls off the window and cracks the screen?

Patience...they are just starting the trial. I'm guessing the are going to distribute them (but that's exactly like what talking about what our new base might be, a guess) and is be surprised if they have even talked about damage yet...

Yea the last line in the contract that describes how the company has to pay for the equipment we use on the line says, "excluding headsets". The company will have to pay for iPads for the pilots if they become required equipment.

I think they will become required, not necessarily for navigational charts though. I don't think the new AA planes are going to have any sort of EFB on them like our 175's so then the question is would they like to maintain ship sets of manuals for the new fleet? My guess is no, hence why the Comply365 thing is coming about with its automatic updating of manuals every time you log into the app. Now yes our 170's do have ship sets, but that is only 6 airframes. I doubt they want to start keeping 26 airframes current. Look for the company to purchase everyone iPads and they will all come with whatever chart vendor they choose and Comply365 which will be the one stop shop for current manuals, memos, and company communications.
