Whole month American bidding won't even start till April, that's 5-6 months away, whatever you heard somebody probably pulled out of their butt.

Come on people, it's not difficult. Many airlines operate for many different mainline carriers... think Skywest?!?!

We'll have AA pairings and we'll have DL pairings. One trip might be AA then the next might be DL. They won't be intermixed however. Bidding for an entire month of one airline?! Doesn't that create basically two cateogries??

I heard during a recent orientation day that they were told LIDO's will be the iPad subscription.

Yep. The iPads being tested now have the LIDO charts. Apparently they're significantly cheaper than Jepps.

You heard right. A select few people are using them on the line right now during a trial and testing phase. Supposedly the whole pilot group gets them December or early next year. I don't think they're very popular among the test pilots.

I imagine because Lido is a terrible product compared to Jepps. If NAS plates were available it would be a step up.

Lido charts are absolutely horrible. Horrible enough to dampen the excitement of ridding myself of my flight bag and revisions. Still happy to be done with revisions though, just not looking forward to all the ASAP reports.

Bummer. At least you won't have to spend an entire 4 day on one revision. And your flight case won't weigh 70lbs.

Have you ever used LIDO charts in electronic format, the way they were always designed to be used?
