Ask Pinnacle pilots about career expectations...

Should I? They weren't growing like Colgan was and had a bunch of inefficient 200's, I think you mean ask Pinnacle pilots why they didn't get a better SLI outcome with purchasing XJ and Colgan...

FO has enough work to do, in addition to keeping me out of trouble. He shouldn't be hauling bags.
This is why it will never happen. Most airports don't even want the F/O's on the SIDA for the walk around. Throw in the high visibility vest requirement, the fact that up to four or five times a day your bag has the potential to wind up on a baggage carousel somewhere and the idea that crew would have to put their bags below is ludicrous. FWIW I'm currently at YX and fly AA almost exclusively and all four of us stow our bags in the overhead..

After our LAX base closed, it seemed for a few months that we would hear a rumor that "Skywest might be losing the LAX base and we will be getting it back!"

Then "I heard Republic is doing such a terrible job doing the 175 flying in ORD we might be getting that back!"

Then this. Can't blame them, at an airline where there has been 0 good news for many years people cling to any glimmer of hope. The people you should trust LEAST are the school house people mainly because they were the BIGGEST "Vote Yes" group and I sometimes can hear their knees shaking all the way up here. They also have this weird notion that they would hear truths before many other people.

Sorry to post this, just wanted to try excusing one of our own. Carry on.

No worries, I rode that train once at PinnaColAba, I held on for a long time and was tired of believing there was a light at the end of the tunnel, when I finally realized it was always a train coming the other direction. Ideally I think a lot of people in our pilot group wish we never got these airplanes, especially knowing how much Eagle/Envoy stood up and did the right thing for our industry... I really have very mixed emotions about flying an airplane with American Eagle on the side, even though we didn't take any concessions and had a lot of gains in our latest CBA.

I'm about ready to submit my app in to compass. However, i'm currently sitting at 1480tt. Should i wait for the 20 hours or go ahead and submit it now?

Reason i ask is because there's a question on airlineapps asking if I meet the ATP minimums per FARs? should i answer yes or no?

Well you'd be lying if you said yes... get 20 more hours then submit the app. Problem solved.

What was your ground school start date? I'm in the middle of the 30 day home study now, start school 2nd week Nov. Just curious as I've ready arranged and paid for housing in MSP, plus will be driving my car there so I'm wondering if this will affect us as well.
