So is it logical to expect a new hire hitting the line in Jan could reasonably expect 3 months or less of reserve?

90 days max. And it will be 90 days. The company is so behind on their training plan, it is not even funny. We will have more new hires and captain upgrades starting OE each week, than the number of check airmen we have at Compass. Company needs to hold back 90 days now just to keep some of those check airmen a tad bit longer. Once they use their 90 hold back for the first class, there is no more delaying the flows, 20 will leave every month stsrting in April, until they are all gone.

The thing you guys who are new need to realize is that only current captains and the guys being held back will notice. FOs will see rapid advancement immediately because the whole reason for the hold backs is to upgrade current FOs to fill in for the Captains being held back.
