Ok, I have old info then. It was at least month ago that I heard about the March 3rd class. So, everyone is held 90 days, huh? This means starting in April, 20 people leave each month until they're all gone...

Yep, starting in April there will be 20 less a month until October and probably the few remaining by November.

It looks like MSP is shrinking more based on the previous bids. We're into May and they haven't back filled for any flows yet. Is that what everyone else is thinking?

They haven't done that out of any base yet though. I'm not sure what they are doing. We do have a different person as crew planning manager than the last time we flowed, they may be showing it differently than last time.

Last time, when a bid came out, for a say May. The people who were leaving property for the flow would not be in the current staffing, as they wouldn't be bidding in May.

I'm pretty sure last year the flow pilots were still showing in the staffing numbers for the month even though they were planned to be gone by then. That is why MSP showed a lot more pilots in MSP during those months and when the month happened it actually was less by the amount that flowed.

If we lose 10 MSP captains to the flow no later than early April, then they should have backfilled at least 10 captains into the base by the April bid that closed recently. Since they backfilled none, that means the base will shrink by the amount of flows that leave in early April. Same as last year. Correct?

The May bid isn't showing any backfills either which makes me believe it will shrink further.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't have the bid sheets from last year, but I thought they dropped people who were going to flow that month off when a bid came out for that same month.

May is till showing pilots that are leaving in April on the proposed staffing list for May.

Look to see if they backfill msp FO's that upgrade. That'll tell you if it is shrinking. MSP will probably always have more CA's than FO's since most training personal are CA's and don't always bid a schedule.

Add about $1/hr to FO pay and $2/hr to captain pay and that's the 2015 rates.
