In that case, then I would guess mid September is when you would start.
There still might even be a chance for them to run a class in August. To me, it does not make sense at all, to stop classes completely for a month, when you could use that time to take the pressure off having to train 40 pilots a month beginning this september. If they really do plan on doing 40 a month they will have to hire at least 20 more new check airmen and have them trained by mid october(takes a long time for CP to train check airmen, so maybe that is what they are using August for). All that is assuming they have the Sim availability to train 40 a month.
The company has not really communicated anything to us about their hiring or staffing plans. I'm not sure they even know yet. The longer we go, the further past we the 'too-late' point that we will be.

Again patience people, theres some prep involved here. This round will be way bigger than CP has ever seen.

Met with the recruiters today at the job fair in DFW. Great guys to talk to and really made me want to work for Compass. Lots of good information and sounds very desirable right now with the growth. Freakin' reckless driving charge and those Canadian rules!

Have an interview coming up with Compass. Been at a regional for 3 and a half years now. Been over 2 years since I've heard any positive news. So I'm going to the interview then hopefully they give me some time to make a decision. Been reading where people are having to wait awhile to hear back from Compass. I heard back and offered to interview in about a week if that helps people out there.
Just a few questions about the process. What is a good study guide to look over before the interview? I have the one they sent me and I don't think great circle navigation is real big at Compass. And what questions are they asking on their computer tests? ATP questions or what should I be looking at to prepare for that?
Any advice would be useful, feel free to PM a gouge if you can remember the interview also.
Thanks

RS,
Congrats on getting the interview! I've just read most of this thread and others have mentioned Ace the Technical Pilot Interview, Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot, and Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators as good study resources. From what I can gather, they have a cognitive test, a psych test, and a knowledge test.
Would you be able to list your qualifications? Hours? Degree? Etc. I'm thinking about applying as well. It seems like a pretty good regional. Best of luck to you!
