Do they take pilots out of the pool in the order they were interviewed? And if so, what are the dates of interviewees that have been receiving training dates? I've been eagerly treading water in the pool since May 28th and still no date. By the way I am one of those 10 who have been following this thread like a crackhead following a crack trail.

Email the recruiting team and ask for official numbers. Following a public forum can't give you the answers you're looking for. Nothing is official unless it comes from the actual company.

That's how they did it a year ago, but nothing is official. Keep this in mind, I was around #30 in the pool after being hired 14 months prior to my actual class date and they asked if I could start in the first class of 4 because quite a few people in front of me in the pool found opportunities elsewhere, be ready for the call at any moment. Delta announced they were hiring on a Saturday , Compass called two days later on Monday, and asked if I could start 3 days later on a Thursday...

With a week's notice, do they actually expect everyone to walk out of their current job with less than 2 week's notice?

If they expect that the they realistically can't expect those employees to give them with week's notice when they leave CPZ.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but is not giving 2 week's no longer a big deal?

I'm absolutely not trying to stir the pot or put anyone down, I'm genuinely asking a question.

That came off like a stage 5 clinger...I was offered the first class but bypassed to put in my 2 weeks so I could get my 2 weeks of vacation payed out at my previous employer...

Whoa sorry to hear that, it mustve been pretty frustrating to be marinating in the pool for that long. I recently found out that I am #17 on the list so hopefully the call comes a little sooner than 14 months down the road. As for the three day notice, phew thats a good way to **** off your current employment. Thanks for the great insight everyone

Inglewood, CA is also a short walk from Century Blvd, where all of the hotels are. I'm sure one could find cheap housing with friendly neighbors and just mooch off of the hotel shuttles.
