2 questions for you guys:

1 - I had asked this once before a few months ago, but seemed to get a different answer than someone that recently asked it in a different airline's thread. If you've been a FO for 3 years, and then upgrade to CA, do you get paid at the year 3 CA pay or start over at year 1 CA pay? Is it airline specific?

2 - This is speculative I know, but for the guys that have been at CPZ a couple years, what is your feel for how the "guaranteed interview" process will shake out? Do you think a good majority of guys that are too junior for the guaranteed flow but are part of the guaranteed interview will get to make the move up to Delta?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, you get 3 year captain pay.

No idea. If folks get to interview (I say "if" because no one knows how guaranteed this is or the process involved), it will depend on the preparedness and attitude of the applicant. Too many people show up unprepared or entitled will equal bad news. If folks show up prepared, polite, and humble, it could be good.

That's why SKW guys are on here "defending" themselves and their co-workers, because your blowing a supposed perception out of proportion and breeding mistrust and hostilities between two work groups where there should be none. If you dont have anything nice to say, or truthful, just shut up.
I'm not blowing it out of proportion. The fact is SKW has a reputation for being arrogant. The end. Thanks for playing. Move on.

What BlueMoon said. I think the only airline toying with the idea of a 3 year FO starting over at year 1 captain pay when he upgraded was Pinnacle during the bankruptcy. That was one of hundreds of changes the company management wanted to see in the new bankruptcy contract that was to be imposed. They did not get that wish btw.

AlaskaBound why are you stirring the pot? I have flown with numerous pilots at SKW, most in SLC. What makes you the authority on what type of people they are, and how they feel about Compass? He said she said a SKW guy said what? I and my peers in probably 95% fashion don't have animosity or disrespect of any kind towards CPZ. Yet you know us better than we know ourselves apparently. You're profiling us based on either heresy rumors or a truthful bad experience with a 1 in 20 pilot. Its like saying Donald Sterling is racist, aha, all white people are racist, I mean they do have a reputation of being it right? Come on...what good does this accomplish.
Negativity begets negativity, so I hope the best to Compass pilots, ignore the gossip we aren't being judgmental, and please don't be judgmental in return. Peace.

Any idea when the next vacancy or re-alignment will be coming out? Or have we caught up with everything now and won't see anything until later in the summer?
Ask and ye shall receive!

You are not necessarily a jerk.......It's just that you are Minnesotan.
