Is the SEA base rumor still floating around?
#3622
Recent newsletter pointed to an increasing need for an additional west coast base. To me, this means that SLC or SEA is a possibility. I was doing some flying through SEA recently and had some ops folks outline what they knew about Delta's expansion there...sounds like an increase in daily departures from around 60-70 to around 140-150 by next summer. That sure makes SEA still look possible.

I'm really curious what delta is going to do with the guaranteed interview process now. Sounds like they won't offer it anymore now that compass is flying for a competitor. They are struggling to keep endeavor alive and I'm sure this won't help them so they will have to do something to get more guys to go to endeavor.

What's your contract like? Any negotiated future pay increases? I'm curious about the following... I know the APC page has some things, but I know it's info about my own company is usually old enough to be outdated, so if you don't mind answering...
- Minimum day credit for both day trips and multi-day trips?
- Deadhead pay?
- Trip rigs or duty rigs?
- Pay and housing during training?
I apologize if this info is floating around out there and I missed it...

There is a premium pick up window that is new and it is open for 72 hours following the bid award. Also, scheduling can give out critical pay when needed.
There is a type of cancellation pay. It is trip guarantee and not by the leg, but sure beats nothing.
Other than that It seems pretty standard to me.

The last captain I flew with said he has been seeing more and more new hires with zero previous 121 time. They were just flight instructors waiting their turn. When the hiring first started about a year ago it was almost all previous 121 pilots for the first several months. Not anymore.
