Welcome to Compass. By the same token the reason for this is that everyone is shortstaffed and over loaded. Stay on them and you will be fine.
Also if you are flexible with your class dates and can show up at a moments notice, let them know. When I was hired in March, 08 I moved up over 3 weeks and 15 numbers because I was able to show up when called on a thursday afternoon to show up the next morning at 9:00. They called because they knew I could do it.
Good luck and be persistent.

while there this week they said they have classes full through the end of Jan. They are still calling for interviews but Jami and Dianna stated that there are thousands of appllicants in there pool and there are several hundreds with recommendations. They are shuffling people around though. I just talked to someone that had his class moved up from January to the end of December. My class is made up of 5 furloughees and one military. I don't know if that says anything about there preferences or practices... I'm sorry I don't have anybetter info than that. Good luck to all in the hunt.
Man, that is one sad state of our industry.

5 or 6 years from now it will be the opposite. Thousands of openings and few pilots to staff them. I am envious of you young guys. Once the dam breaks loose you will have your choice of jobs. Just be careful which one you take. Research, research and research how the airline that you want to work for runs their financials. Wish I were 25 again and in your shoes.

It is all luck. No one knows what company is going to survive and grow and which ones will be wiped into oblivion. It is in the realm of possibility that any regional in this day and age can be gone within a matter of weeks (especially in the DCI rat race). It is also possible that more planes are right around the corner. More important than research - luck.

500 121 pic
Has anyone recently hired been a little "short" on the 500 121 pic preferred time? Just curious as to whether any 121 fo's are getting the nod.
Which Domiciles seem to be the most popular with the new hires? Could one expect to get any one of them sooner then later?
Thank you

Not sure where you saw the 500 hours PIC 121 time. All I know is they "prefer" 500 hours of Part 121 operations (PIC or SIC). Plenty of guys getting interviews without 121 PIC time.
