The COG test is very frustrating to fail. It is very similar to baseline TBI tests (for those that have done military stuff) and IQ tests. The important thing that a lot of people mess up is following directions. Sometimes the directions will say "click on the letter that is not the same." The key word missed is NOT and people will end up clicking on the wrong stuff and they'll think they did really well and got all of them, as there is no indication while your testing, but you end up getting 0/25 when you thought you nailed all of them.

AlaskaBound is right though. The biggest reason for people misreading stuff is a lack of sleep, food, hydration and other basic needs that can lead to a bad day. It's a slight representative way of testing to see how people can take care of themselves and follow instructions (sometimes complex instructions) in a stressful environment.

Take care of yourself mentally, physically, relax and read the instructions very carefully and the rest will take care of itself.

New hires don't get thrown on a realignment until they're actually in class. Remember that whole submitting your bid in the first week of class thing?

Anybody that goes to orientation in September won't be part of a realignment/vacancy bid until October with an effective date of the January 1 bid period.

Has anyone heard anything about class dates over the next couple months? I'm in the pool for a Sept/Oct class date, but haven't heard much chatter about dates beyond July.

from what i'm told there will be something coming out in the next week or so about assignments for september classes.

Any idea how big the pool is? One hired today could expect to start sometime in September or October??

Embraer and Trans States Sign Deal for up to 100 E175-E2s

Didn't see this coming. Make sense if TSH wants to compete with SkyWest and Republic. What about the MJet?

Isn't our contract up for renegotiation/arbitration in 2020? Sounds like they are setting up a carrot.

I hope for all of us that we are long gone at a major before 2020, who knows if regionals will even exist
