yes you are both Cass and KCM for travel after orientation.. You are given both your Compass ID and KCM card. You need to register online for KCM.

Then we learned about some general policies (12 hr bottle to throttle being one of them). When we were done with all the general stuff, we ate lunch (Compass provided Jimmy Johns) and talked with the chief pilot. Afterwards we got set up for all the CBT's by one of the ground instructors. We were done by 2 pm.

They will already have you in cass that morning and a company badge will be sitting on your desk. Travel home was a breeze.

Thanks! Looking forward to starting. This is my second airline, but they take a very different approach. Last time when you started everything was at the training center.

Thanks! I do miss KCM. I didn't want to test if it worked or not at the airport without some upfront knowledge.

Make sure when you get your compass badge you update your KCM profile before going through with a new airline badge.

you can literally do it on your phone and it's ready in under 5 minutes.

Thanks! Yeah, I remember the process for that, it was extremely easy. Just didn't want to attempt the KCM entry if it wasn't active.

I keep hearing that the quick upgrade ship has sailed, which is fine with me, but given the rest of the flows leaving, the 20 new aircraft, and the hiring of 40 pilots per month through August then 20 per month after that, what is the expected upgrade time?

BlueMoon 01-24-2015 07:00 PM

No one knows, it would just be a wild guess. Pilot wise, we are near where we need to be for the new flying. We are at ~600 pilots, for 62 airplanes we'll need ~620. So, in my estimation, the hiring will now most likely be to replace flows and other attrition.

So it's probably safe to say anyone starting in the next 90 days will at least be a pretty senior FO?

sorry to kinda change subject, but do any current Compass pilots know if we can set up our company email on an apple device?? like on a Mac or Iphone? and if we can, are there any specific settings? Thanks!!
