On another topic, just went to the website, and you HAVE to have a Comm-MEL and Inst-MEL, and a current ATP written to meet their minimums. If you don't have all 3 of those, then you will not be hired, according to their website. |
Cliff,
I have an ATP MEL, 4 year degree, 2500+ hrs pic, etc.... Just no internal rec. |
You have to have all 3 because you will be receiving your E170/190 type rating. If you do not have an ATP you will be getting one with your type rating. Required per the contract.

Hi!
I don't have any of the three: Comm-MEL, Inst-Airplane, or ATP written. cliff LFW |
I took my ATP written in 06 or 07 but been at a regional the whole time which means that it doesn't expire. Does the 24 month clock still count to my situation or although I have current ATP written should I be fine? Thanks.

(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraphs (a)(1) and (2) of this section, an applicant for an airline transport pilot certificate or an additional rating to an airline transport certificate may take the practical test for that certificate or rating with an expired knowledge test report, provided that the applicant: (1) Is employed as a flight crewmember by a certificate holder under part 121, 125, or 135 of this chapter at the time of the practical test and has satisfactorily accomplished that operator's approved— (i) Pilot in command aircraft qualification training program that is appropriate to the certificate and rating sought; and (ii) Qualification training requirements appropriate to the certificate and rating sought; Not sure if the policy at Compass has changed, but from what I remember, last year they required you to have a current ATP written for the interview. |
