Being able to staff new planes is always possible when its paired with parking 50 of seaters.

I was making a guess off a previous post, but if it's just 8, lets go off of 2/month that they said they would staff for. That would mean 2 in August, 2 in September, and 2 in October that are more than likely already awarded for in the bids we have already had. The next bid is for November. If we say 10 pilots/plane, then they need to still hire 60 pilots and upgrade 30 more for the remaining 6 AA planes, from November onwards, on top of our regular attrition.

That could happen. If they get 175's and they go to Compass, that would change our dynamics back to what we have been seeing. That said, if the regionals are struggling to staff, Delta could decide to bring that flying back to mainline in the form of larger jets, requiring more mainline pilots, but less overall.

Going forward, the only regionals that can hire for the increasing attrition, are those paying at least $10,000/year more than they currently do to their pilots.

He seems to have a crutch on his shoulder since he left Endeavor and then they were all awarded $20,000/bonus on top of their yearly pay. The shrinking over there has stopped and their attrition should be better than Compass, now that the flow has ended here. Once our growth ends, the artificial attrition we have been gaining at Compass will also be the same as Endeavor. For some reason, he refuses to acknowledge the changing dynamics with the Endeavor situation, which is probably due to him still trying to justify his decision to leave Endeavor to Compass, which I agree was a good one at the time and still was due to the seniority he gained coming to Compass.

I understand the frustration. This last decade has been tough. However, I don't understand his mission to dissuade people from coming to Endeavor. I also don't understand his reluctance to accept that things change. I do wish him and everyone else that made lateral moves the best of luck. May you all get to your goals quickly

How far out (hours or months) is it recommend that a new applicant should start to get the ball rolling prior to reaching their ATP hourly mins? Secondly, anyone know who perhaps to contact directly for these inquiries with Endeavor, CPZ, maybe SkyWest as well? Perhaps just straight up apply?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I would just apply now- I believe each airline you listed is in Airline Apps, which really streamlines the process.

Just keep updating your hours. And when you're close enough it will trigger an interview invite.

Anyone know or have an idea when the next captain vacancy comes out? Thanks

What is a realistic upgrade time at Compass for SEA or LAX. Also how long would a new pilot be on reserve in SEA or LAX, What is the reserve response time? Looking to see if living in Portland, OR is feasable.

Upgrade time no one knows what's about to happen. It all depends on how many more bypass. I'd still say under a year worst case for you since you already meet the requirements. Lax is most junior followed closely by Seattle. You would be able to hold sea out of training I'd imagine. Id also guess a month of reserve if that

Airport reserve is 15 min
Short call is 2 hours.
Long call you usually know by about 3 pm day prior.

Anybody know of a descent crashpad, I would have a car so distance would not be an issue. Thanks!
