I heard Compass recently changed their interview profile... Can anyone who recently interviewed fill me in on the new process?
|
I am furloughed and was offered the position with 1900T, 900 of which was 121 (I have continued flying since). The interviews are done in MSP now that Compass has their own setup like Delta. Flow or no-flow, I was told they would continue doing the Delta style interview.
|
What is the best way to prepare for the interview to make sure there are no surprises?
|
I re-read "Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot". Ate a good dinner and got plenty of sleep.

Looks like I'll get an interview with them once I retake my ATP written since my first one has since expired. I have 2000/1400. Not fun trying to study for this over the weekend to try and get it out of the way on Mon.

The ATP written is ball buster esspecially if you want to get it done soon. Mine just expired and I have my ATP/type ride on the 23rd and I am on a family vacation for all next week.
Last time I did the ATP one day class and it narrowed down the questions from 1700 to 350 and about 90% of them were on the actual test. |

Wow, didnt realize ATP narrowed it down to that few questions. I know they have been running deals at some locations for the one day class for $200 might see if they will give me that deal. At this point I just want to pass it and not too concerned with my score.
The funniest thing I remember is that when I called to set up my session the person told me to stop studying and just show up. She said that if I spent any time studying it would just interfere with the rote memorization. She was right. They cut the test bank way down, give you memory aids to pick out the right answer on all the CG calcs, flight planning, etc. Way easy. You take the test when you are ready. I spent 5-6 hours burning the 300+ questions into my head, the test took about 15 minutes and I got a 94%. By the end you are not even reading the questions, you are just picking the correct answer because you have seen it so many times. |
UPDATE:
The first 20 flows were assigned their class dates - 8/16. There are currently 3 bids out for 6 upgrades each. That is all. Carry on. |
