I've come to the realization that it's not that Turbine doesn't understand what happens when you don't make the payments on your "owned" house or car. He just doesn't want to accept reality of what happens when you don't fulfill your contractual obligations, how much money you lose when you have equipment sitting around, and you aren't receiving payments on those which you are on the hook for elsewhere.

The planes are paid off, no payments to make. What is so hard to understand about that?
They won't sit around, they'll be used in the United operation. What is so hard to understand about that?

Total Current Liabilities 478,000
Long Term Debt 2,084,300
Deferred Long Term Liability Charges 391,300
Total Liabilities 2,953,600
They aren't paid off.
Two things in play here. 1. Turbine thinks Republic actually had $2 billion in cash sitting around and just paid for those planes straight up. 2. He thinks this balance sheet is a lie.

We continue to take deliveries on new aircraft and have been for the last 2 years.... For American and United. Over 50 brand new Ejets have arrived on property in the last 2 years and although you seem to think it, I'm not so dumb as to think RAH pulled cash out of a rubber band to pay for them. But those aircraft are for American and United, not delta. The delta planes have been on property since I believe 2007 and are... paid... off. As are most of the 170's/175's that we operated for airways before the new American planes started showing up.
The point is, there are plenty of aircraft to make payments on, and we do, all the time. However, the aircraft in question do not fall into that category.

Can you link to documentation showing that Republic is the owner of the planes? Republic is most likely just being used as a pawn in a larger game, regardless of who "owns" the planes I think Republic has less control over their fate than you think.

If you look at the registration of our new aircraft, the are issued to the bank of Brazil. All of our older aircrafts registrations are issued to RAH holdings. This occurs after the lean has been removed.
