AWAC does need to find new flying but just trying to reset perceptions that we are teetering on the precipice of collapse...far from it...but I am definitely not impuning Compass as a choice.
If they had a new fleet plan in place it would have been revealed by now.You don't replace 71 aircraft overnight, and with the contract due to end in 2015,there would have been something in the works by now. From what im hearing,at the interviews all they tell you is they don't have to tell you anything because its a privately help corp.Maybe so,but if they are trying to convince people to come to work there it would seem they would want you to know your future is secure, atleast for the next 5 to 7 years or so.Mesa is still loading up on 900s,Republic is getting 2 or 3 175s a month and Psa is getting 2 or 3 900s a month all for AAG.They are loading up on large rjs and they will dump the 200s at the first opportunity.Airwis bailed out airways a few years ago with some cash and everyone seems to think airways owes them something in return.,but its not airways anymore.AAG management could give a rats ass about that.No one has a crystal ball but if I was a new hire looking to go somewhere, yeah I would go to Psa or gojet over airwis right now probably, just because of the fleet and long term flying.

Not true. AAG hasn't even revealed who's been awarded that new E175 flying yet. Plus I'm pretty sure awac will be around till 2017, which still gives them time to find new business if that's what the owners want. Highly doubt the owners would've given the thumbs up on installing new leather seats if the doors were going to shut in six months, but who knows.

The switch from united to usairways was pretty much overnight.

New leather seats is job security to you?AAG probably made them do it whether they wanted to or not.Not may passenger planes have cloth seats anymore, they just needed to catch up with everyone else.
So tell that to the lady at the unemployment office in 6 months or so.
"They bought us leather seats so I thought my job was secure" LMFAO

I didn't say that installing new leather seats is the sole predictor of future flying, just saying it's one of several initiatives AWAC has introduced the past year. Might be a sign, might not. Either way, I'm prepared for the worst. Until JR, ESL or BF start leaving, I don't think there's any reason to hit the panic button on something that's out of my control.

It seems like you're actively rooting for awac to shut down. A lot of people on here seem to want that.

I heard a rumor that when we got the planes from the lessors, they had leather seats. We replaced them with cloth. Now that some need to be returned to the lessors in original condition, they need the leather seats back.

That, and f/a recruites are telling f/a's that we are getting 10 additional aircraft.

Heard it from a flight attd, so you know its true.

Flip a coin. It's not worth over analyzing this.
