LOL, j/k man, I know you’re not a scheduler or management, they stand out. You are correct in that statement of them being used by the company just like we are, which is partly why you should never flip out on CS, BUT you still put your foot down and as somebody suggested go to the on-call CP if need be and call CS out blatantly illegal actions, just do it nicely!

Oh hell yeah. I've lost my cool with them once. Called back and apologized. They're in the suck like we are... Theirs is just a different suck. Totally agree, though, Imma call em on crap, and I WILL be fatigued if the put me into rest after one leg back to base in the morning so I can do a sfo turn at 2045.

The bigger issue at hand is the CBA itself,it has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese. It literally can be interpreted in the company's favor or the crews favor depending who's reading it. Hopefully the ALPA spends a little money on some good labor attorneys this go around to formulate and offer some tips on a solid contract vs what there is now. The current one reads like it was written in haste and not really gone over with a fine tooth comb.

Scheduling is a direct function of the SOC who reports to the 119 DO and the 119 Chief Pilot of the Airline
Scheduling refused to transfer me to the CP on call recently... said it was not their concern, LOL. I was angry that they manipulated the connection time in order make a pairing legal when I was gonna clearly timeout during the turn. I was like, um, I can just call them myself... he refused, probably because he knew he was being sketchy.

'So there I was...' I knew it, he knew it, I knew that he knew it, and he knew that I knew that he knew it.

pure speculation, but I feel the last contract was written with Compass management in mind and maybe there was a better relationship. TSH swoops in and just crap all over everything that was originally agreed upon on good faith.

Just get their number from the signature in a cp email and don't worry about what cs says.
