I could have sworn it's wait for the "APU Fuel SOV closed" EICAS message you have to wait for. Takes 2 minutes after the APU reaches "off" if I remember correctly. Either way, it's no problem if the ground crew plugs in the GPU with any level of urgency on the RON flight. Get that APU coming down and it'll be closed long before everyone is done deplaning and the FAs have taken their 5 bags each off.

You have to wait to turn the batts off until the “apu Shutting down” message clears on the eicas. Otherwise the fuel SOV valve doesn’t fully close.
Sometime back there was a read file on this.
You don’t even need to do the turn on and off. Just turn it on like normal (wait for the yellow block on the %), then turn it on. No issues.
What happened is the aircraft lost power before the SOV fully closed.

This morning I came in from my walk around and the captain was about to call HQ for this message. Thanks to reading this the other day I told him to hold off and give this a try. Sure enough the message went away and we were good to go.
