I do understand the FAA has published a notice of proposed rule making about requiring new hires to at least be old enough to use forward facing car seats though. That actually does seem like a reasonable requirement that we can all get behind. Allowing for interagency coordination and public feedback, we should see that rule go into effect in about 2020.

This vacancy has one class the end of June and one in July so it's a total of 12 for June and so far 8 for July. But I don't the second class in July will have 14.

There's about to be several classes of FOs hitting the line shortly, at the same time. Due to those scheduling issues several months ago there's 3 classes I know of that are all checking in roughly the same week. They seem to have most of the issues worked out now and training gaps are shrinking
