So none of us get them any more? I must have missed the memo cause i haven’t seen anything the past few days.
They should only take the hotels away for those who didn’t cancel. I can’t stand this “punish the whole group for the mistakes of others” mind set.

Well it seems like it was the hotel who cancelled the contract for commuters not the Company. The Fairfield will still be used for overnights in LAX.

From the newsletter it sounds to me like people were at least trying to cancel their commuter hotels, but they were just calling scheduling rather than emailing. Seems to me like the schedulers weren't following through and actually canceling the reservations.
We still get commuter hotels we are just moving from the FF to Four Points.

Nailed it! This is a classic example of the company blaming pilots for their mistakes. It’s stupid anyways, if the hotel gets paid for the reservation who cares if they get used or not!!??

because they lose money due to charging the company a discounted block rate for say $100 when they could've sold that room to some random guest for $150-200 etc...
