Still silly, that’s the contract you agreed to so if you don’t like it then don’t agree to it in the first place. This is corporate greed + incompetence = pilot group loses..........again. I’m confident this was CS’s mistake. Not to say there were not some pilots who did it wrong, but so far this year I’ve E-MAILED to cancel 4 rooms that I had booked and all 4 times when I go to book later in the month I got told I was out of rooms and had to go dig up the e-mail where I canceled. I’m one person, no telling how many of those there have been.

I’m fairly confident that there isn’t one person who is in charge of the commuter rooms email thing. Many times I have emailed requesting a room and 9hrs later still no confirmation. And every once in a while I will request a room and get a confirmation within 20mins. I’m pretty sure that email address is the last priority of the crew schedulers and I side with whoever said crew scheduling is to blame for this

This reminds me of something... Make sure you call CS to cancel your DH. Do not go to directly to the Delta gate agent because they can’t do it right.

Call CS to cancel DH. “We May JA you so you will have to take the DH”.

Yeah no that’s not how it works.

I would venture to guess this might be why our numbers were so high of DH's not getting canceled. On several occasions I called scheduling to cancel my DH and when I looked later it was still showing listed in travel net.

Personally I just cancel with Delta. Haven't heard a thing about it. The one time I emailed scheduling days in advance, I get a call about not being checked in...

Databases: PF in Pink, PM in Green.

TO Change Check: This procedure was rolled out wrong from the beginning, as needs a complete overhaul.

Commuter hotels: Sched dept definitely lost this one for us. Inconsistency and incompetence is high with this workgroup. Also, no-shows cost more than the nightly rate in most hotel contracts.

Checking In: I forget 80% of the time. Did you know that schedulers can see your FFD? Only the new ones call.

This will blow your mind...but the DH cancel/not cancel thing is yet another Lufthansa bug. CS will cancel the DH with Delta and the system and Delta poll each other about once an hour and Delta auto rebooks the DH again. They just shut that feature off last week so in theory it won't be an issue anymore.

Shouldn't be a problem, chief, since we're all chiefs here, chief.
