Any truth to the rumors that 175's are being taken from Compass and being given to Envoy? Envoy is hiring about 100 pilots a month right now, and is losing airplanes to PSA and Piedmont.

let the rumors begin that we are about to lose the whole fleet. Envoy is also still taking deliveries for their 40 175s and we are still under contract for our 20. I believe they just got # 26.

TSA jumpseater the other night said that theirs still is not working properly and that they need to email all trades and drops to the company...but that they are told it should be fixed by the time Compass starts using it.

As long as we don't lose any more airplanes, this "bump" on the road shouldn't stagnate us for more than 4-5 months. That's assuming attrition stays the same (since it's supposed to increase 1st quarter) and assuming we are not getting any addtl. flying until the summer. It could be worse.....but, I can't believe we just became "that place" now.
Whenever they do start hiring again.....people are probably going to think twice about coming here because of the uncertainty of our abilities to grow. Our golden parachute is gone, movement was our thing - what are we gonna offer now?

You're right, though...the good news is, with the attrition numbers we've been having, it's only going to take us about 6 months to get back to the staffing/flying ratio we have now. So I really don't think this is going to be a long term issue for us.
Who knows, though. This is a fickle industry. What's good today may be bad tomorrow.
