Yeah I always do this. I was standing in the jetway about to board a 5:30pm flight home. Called scheduling to ask to be released 30 minutes early on my last day with a 6pm bypass and was denied still. Never ended up using me and I had to spend the night in the airport.

What are you guys using to track inbound flights? Now that we don't have flight track I'm at a loss. I hate getting to the airport and waiting another few hours for a late inbound.

Well you should have just left. Don't let someone who is on the other end of the line who is going home to their bed dictate your life like that. Next time just go and play the odds of the chance they actually call you... maybe your phone battery died and they never could reach you?

You can use FlightAware. Enter your flt number then hit "where is my plane now?". Accurate and gives you the big picture. Flight Board is very accurate for checking delays...

I thought you could self release at 1800 on your last day. Why call?

Newb question, can we get the points from our hotel stays, commuter hotels or hotels on a trip?? Also, plus one for flight aware, 121 flights are tracked pretty accurately it seems.

Because his flight was going to leave before 6pm, so he wanted to be officially off the hook before getting on a plane and being unreachable by CS.

It must track tail numbers. Can you see the tail number on flightaware?

Don't think Flightaware has the tail numbers. However FlightRadar24 does show tail numbers. But you'll have to take that inbound flight number from Flightaware as FlightRadar24 doesn't have the "where is my airplane" feature to my knowledge
