We managed to get them for training at the Towneplace suites. SMF and OAK hotels let you get credit. It is hit and miss. You can always ask, the majority are no, but a few will give you points.

If you're doing DL work just use the pipeline. More info a few pages back.

You stayed in the TP for training? Jealous!! Ok cool thanks, so just make an account online for each line we stay at then just ask at the front desk each time?

If you are willing to potentially risk a career on it then go for it. Personally I would not. Who are you to advise someone else who is brand new and potentially taking guidance from this forum (which they shouldn't) on an issue which could affect them severely down the road. Could they be called? Yes. 100%. They are good for 16hrs of duty. SAN and taxis are quite common lately.

Risk your career? Isn't that a bit overboard?

While I understand people's rationale in calculating time, the union would have a very difficult time representing you in a section 19 hearing with that mindset...it would be difficult to explain that in your next airline interview as well
