I, and likely hundreds of other pilots here, came from a previous airline where "fly it and grieve it" was the standard methodology for dealing with the daily and flagrant contract violations on the company's part. When I first started here, it was refreshing to see that Compass didn't seem to operate that way. Unfortunately, it appears that those days have been over for a while and things are about to get worse.
Congratulations Compass: You are on the verge of becoming a full-blown $hit-tier airline.

I hope he's right.

The IOCC guide is kinda nice, a step in the right direction at least.

The old saying of "Squeaky wheel gets the grease" may help our situation. If there is no way for reserve pilots to see the reserve available list, then all reserve pilots should start calling Scheduling every day and politely ask them about were they are in the silo, how many in other silos above them, etc. When they start getting lots of calls every day they will be motivated to solve that problem by finding a way to post it electronically.

The guide is nice but I don't understand how they can just blatantly disregard anything related to reserve...No silos or grids. So what do we do when we want to swap days? Send scheduling an email and hope it's a green day? Sorry but I don't feel like playing yahtzee trying to swap days to make my commute worth while.
Can I swap for the 6th? No it's red.
Can I swap for the 1st? No it's red.
Can I swap for the 3rd? Yes that's fine.
This is going to be fun...
